Seeking Kashmir

Sahara and I drove through BP to the far outskirts of town, kinda close to where the kind vampberry lived, the one that brought Sahara back to life, all those years ago.

“Usually you are worried, but you seem very optimistic!”

“I really want my memory back, so you and the rest of the family can stop getting frustrated with me..”

“I don’t get frustrated with you,  you are the one that gets frustrated, especially with me!” she sighed.

“This will be good for both of us then. and hopefully it will help us find her too!”

We haven’t shown it much but lately Sahara and I have been arguing, getting into little fights.. that usually always end with a big hug. but anyway, not long ago we lost Citrus..
Sahara and Rus always had this amazing mother son bond. he’s, her baby!
She is very over protective when it comes to him.. when she heard about his first wife cheating on him,  she had never hated someone so much, not even Hun…
Sahara blames me, for not letting her turn Rus..

I just couldn’t bare seeing her sink her teeth into our kids skin like that… the thought of it has always given me goosebumps, it still does..
We have been arguing about that and then Kashmir too..
just having one less thing to argue about will be nice.
It makes her so sad, that he hasn’t visited us yet, as a ghost.. it’d probably help a lot!

I’m just happy the drive here was quiet.!

“This place sure looks interesting, doesn’t it?” I smiled at her.

“It looks like a carnival!” she pointed at the mirror on the wall like show case in front of us. “That looks like the mirror from my old Sunshine trailer!!” how happy acting makes her, it fills me with joy!

“You know, if you ever want to act again! I am all for it! you could do theater cause that’s usually indoors and at night!”

“You’re just trying to get rid of me!”

“I am not. Love, you are the best actress I know!”

“I am the only actress you know! here we are, this is it! she said just to come right in.”

We came inside and she was mixing her cauldron.

“You are finally here! I have been waiting! I am Diamond Dwindle we talked over the phone, so you are looking for your great granddaughter? she walked to us, “Please take a seat, Kobi!” she gestured to a chair at her table.

I sat down and Sahara found a seat behind me.

“Thank you for helping us!”

“Don’t mention it.. I need you to concentrate. this will only work if you can focus.”

“I don’t think you are trying hard enough..”

“Come on Kobi! you can do it!” Sahara cheered me on telepathically.

“Is- is that her?!” I pointed to the pretty girl standing next to me in the crystal ball.

Then the image started moving, like a movie..

“Grandpa watch out!!”

The lady that was falling fell right on me…

“I’m here to take your granddaughter.”

“Excuse me?!”

“She’s coming with me..”

“She is not!! get off of me!”

“I wouldn’t be yelling at this Crystal in haste.. You can’t do anything about me taking her! in fact you won’t even remember her or me taking her, when I am through with you!”

“I don’t get it. Why did she need her?” Sahara asked.. “Kobi you okay.”

“It’s coming back to him now.!” Diamond Dwindle was right.

“I took her to that spot to show her the best view of the pyramids. I told her she was heir before we left on that trip..”

I looked into the crystal ball to see them vanish in front of my eyes, I was out of it.. so that’s why I was standing there alone…

“What happened to her after that?!” I asked. “Is it possible you can show us?”

“I’d be pretty useless If I couldn’t.” Diamond winked at me.. then there was another array of pictures.

“She’s not alone? who’s that?” I asked.

“His name is Trip Xe.. the Crystal wanted him to have a companion, he was so lonely..” Diamond said with her eyes closed.

Fining out she is married, is quite a shock!! married before her sister too!
Well I guess since she is an heir.

I am so proud of her..

“Thank you, Diamond!”

“I am gonna mix something up for you.. it will strengthen your telepathic abilities so you can communicate with her..”

~~Sahara’s POV~~

I’m not sure it’s a good idea to trust her..

Look at that evil smile she gives, while she adds the ingredients to her boiling concoction.. she didn’t ask for anything.. no pay, no nothing.. I can’t trust her..

For all we know that whole thing with the crystal ball was a hoax. and yet Kobi looks so content.

Kobi got up. interrupting my thoughts. “You look worried.”

“Of course I am worried! what if this concoction doesn’t work! what if it does something to you!!?”

“Sahara.” paused and continued telepathically, “I think the chance of being able to communicate with Kashmir is worth the risk! even then I don’t think there is a risk at all, she seems like a nice vampberry!”

“Yeah that’s what I am worried about.. can you read her mind? I can’t..”

“Will you calm down for me, please.” he sat his hand on mine.

“Okay.” I guess I will just have to trust him on this one..

A few minutes after that, Diamond said it was ready. Kobi got up and got himself some. it must have been good, Kobi went for seconds and she had to stop him..

She told us the effects would kick in, in about two days. and thankfully nothing bad happened to my Mister..
When Kobi told you I blame him, he’s wrong.. (I am guilty of being in to his head!) I blame myself  for not turning Rus anyways.. Kobi would have forgiven me over time, he promised he’d never hate me again. I guess in a way I didn’t want to test his love like that..

“Can you believe we found her!? Sahara, I am so happy!!” he gave me a big goofy smile.

“You are!”

“I can’t wait to tell Philly!! and the girls!” he pulled me in for a kiss. “Thank you for coming with me!”

“Oh Kobi I wasn’t gonna let you come alone!

Hopefully the telepathy potion works!
but seriously what’s with all these vampberries doing nice things for, Kobi and I, not wanting anything in return?
